Have you ever come to the end of your rope and determined that enough is enough?

Perhaps you attended the Financial Fitness Workshop? Hopefully you left full of hope, direction and clarity. You were all charged up to make changes and move your life in a fresh new direction!

Then, Monday morning came and life carried on with its normal routine. Decisions continued to be made on the fly and stopping to think is no longer an option.

Just one more time, we put that unexpected expense on the credit card, vowing it will not happen again. And yet it does, over and over again. In the movie Groundhog Day, Bill Murray’s character relives his day and we can fall into the same trap in our finances: repeating the same cycle over and over again.

“INSPIRATION is like fresh fruit or milk: It has an EXPIRATION DATE.”

From the moment of inspiration we must immediately create a plan for change. To avoid Groundhog Day it is critical to take immediate action.

  1. Get out your calendar and schedule your first step.
  2. Do it ASAP. I mean right away.
  3. Make an appointment with yourself and your spouse to take action. You must get some traction while the inspiration is fresh.
  4. Set aside time in your calendar to carry out your plan. Book 3 months in advance, and make it a high priority.

Has the fire fizzled for you? Your good plans have fallen by the wayside and you are back on the treadmill going nowhere fast? Come back! Come back now!

Don’t believe the lie that you already know what we are going to say and it won’t change anything. Fresh inspiration is waiting for you and this time, you will know what to do with it.
