Debt is overwhelming. So many of us can’t seem to find a grip and we live paycheck to paycheck without any hope of overcoming this obstacle. The good news is there is hope! If you are looking to get out of debt there is light at the end of the tunnel, no matter what your situation, no matter how much
Change your Lenses
Achieving a life of hope and freedom does not come without a cost. Change can be difficult and painful at first but to ensure we keep our promises we need to look at the situation in a different way. The longer we stare our daunting goal in the face, the more overwhelming it will be. God’s plan often does not look like our own but He does not want you living in debt. Taking a step back and changing our lenses can give us hope. There is a way out.
Baby Steps
One of the reasons we often do not follow through with our desire to get out of debt is because our goals are too big. Instead, choose small, manageable financial goals which enable reaching your end destination. Something as simple as selecting a financial goal for each month of the year can help you reach freedom.
Don’t Walk Alone
It is hard to make changes by yourself. Find someone to mentor and walk with you through the changes which you wish to achieve. You are not alone and finances do not have to be an area of stress or tension. Communication is essential to ensuring you follow through on your goals. Time and time again we make promises and resolutions which lie collecting dust in some back corner of our minds. This does not have to be, there is hope for today.
You can be free if you follow through and implement change in your life. It may mean spending less or allowing people to see you in a vulnerable position but as you begin to walk, you may find it isn’t long before you are running.
Enjoyed studying this, very good stuff, appreciate it.
