A rich man was once asked, “How much is enough?”
His response: “Just a little bit more.”
No matter what our income or financial situation, there never seems to be enough money to eliminate financial problems.
Stress
Fear
Hopelessness
Pain
These are constants no matter who we are.
So how do we eliminate them?
Step 1: Write it Down
Write down any stress and fear on a piece of paper. No one enjoys doing this but it is extraordinarily helpful in releasing your fears and stress. Whether it is anxiety over the state of your business or the inability to pay a bill, writing down our fears helps us to more clearly define them.
Step 2: Invite God into your Stress
We are not in this alone. God wants to participate and he doesn’t stop listening when we make bad choices. By voicing our concerns we begin to actively look for answers to our prayers. We have not because we ask not.
Step 3: How much is Enough?
This is one of the most important questions we will ever ask. Determining how much is enough for us individually will enable you to release your stress over money. Contentment is not found in our situation but by trusting in the God who promises to take care of us. There are so many good opportunities available for us but to discern the great ones we need to know how much is enough.
So often we miss a living relationship with our God because we think we fail. Learning to live without stress and fear of money is listening to the Father’s voice. He will meet you if you seek Him.
