Some people get confused.

“Are you a business? A ministry? What are you all about?”

The short answer is “yes”: we are both a business and a ministry.

What are we about?

On the surface we are an organization that helps people understand their financial picture, through our four divisions: mortgages, taxes, coaching, and equipping and training.

Under the surface, we are a business and ministry motivated by our love for Christ, and our desire to help people walk away from debt-filled living, into the freedom of stewarding the resources God has given. Hope for today, and freedom for tomorrow is our vision.

Our Motivation

There are many motivators that are foundational for us at More Than Enough Financial Fitness and one of them is this: we want people to know that God is the God of More Than Enough.

It sounds like a cliche, I will give you that. However, this cliche is as close to the truth as you can get.

God, Himself, is More Than Enough.

What We are Learning and Teaching

I can hear some people say: “Well, if He is the God of More Than Enough, why don’t I have enough?” Here comes a simplistic answer. I realize it may not be the only answer, but it is certainly one answer.

Perhaps your Definition of “Enough” Needs to Change.

Think about it a minute. Why are you in debt? I know there are many reasons. However, stop and ask yourself these questions and answer honestly.

Why am I spending what I am and is it worth the debt load?

Am I spending because I think I “need” something or is it simply a “want”?

What does “enough” really look like for me and my family?

Where We Get Our Cues

Our culture tells us we need boats, bigger houses, faster cars, the latest phones. The list goes on. Just because we are followers of Christ, doesn’t mean we are immune from what the world tells us we need to have a fulfilled life.

More Than Enough founder and coach David van Noppen says we are always hungry and thirsty for fulfillment, peace or purpose, but what and how we choose to fulfill those desires varies with each individual. Based on Scripture and the latest Canadian debt-load statistics, we can safely say people are trying to fulfill their lives with stuff that brings pleasure in material terms. While we all need “stuff” to live, we need to answer how much of that “stuff” is enough.

Not Always Easy

This journey to discover your “enough” and that God is More Than your Enough, is not instantaneous. It will involve commitment, understanding your purpose and being part of a community of others who are like-minded.

Commitment

Pursuing God and committing to this journey is essential to leaving debt behind and discovering God’s provision in every moment.

Purpose

Pursuing God to discover your greater purpose is also part of the journey. When you know your purpose, even in its simplest form of loving God and others every day, it will help you turn a deaf-ear to the world’s enticements.

Community

Pursuing God in community is also essential, as you walk with others who want to discover His provision for His Kingdom purposes through a community of believers. You can find those communities in your churches, your small groups, or here at More Than Enough.

Start the journey and discover that God is your More Than Enough.
