Facing Change, Preparing for Change
At the beginning of this New Year, many of us are contemplating the changing scenery of our Canadian landscape, especially in regards to personal and national finances. Increased debt-levels and growing expenses are leaving some of us disheartened.
However, at the beginning of 2018, Dave and Reb invite you to consider the words of Moses to the people of Israel: “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”
He speaks these words when Israel was in a time of change and flux, and facing new enemies in a new land. Moses was about to die, and God was instituting Joshua as leader – the man who would lead the Israelites out of the wilderness and into the promised land.
“It is important to remember, that just as Moses encouraged the people to trust God, so the Lord encourages us today,” Reb says. “Moses said it was not a futile thing to trust God and His Words. He told them it was their life, and so it is our life.”
Dave and Reb talk about digging into the Word of God, and trusting God to lead us through our financial stories.
“We can’t spend all of our time looking in the rearview mirror,” Dave says. “We need to look forward, plan and be the change we want to see.”
To hear their discussion, and get encouragement in this year of change, tune in.
