Living a Transformed Life

Dave and Reb open a discussion on today’s show about how to live in “financial wholeness”. So many people ask for, or come looking for, the “silver bullet” or the “secret sauce” as Dave likes to say, for financial troubles.

But the answer isn’t what people may expect.

After watching Victor and the story of Pastor Victor Torres, who was once a gang member and heroin addict, Dave and Reb look at the power of Jesus Christ to be the true source of our freedom. It was only when Victor Torres surrendered his life to Jesus Christ that he discovered love and the freedom to walk away from his addictions. Not only was that Victor’s answer, but it is our answer as well.

“The secret sauce is a changed heart,” Dave says. “And the only way we get a changed heart is by encountering Christ, and experiencing a personal, transformational surrender to Him.”

Seeking Christ, understanding His death and resurrection, and surrendering our lives to Him is part of the journey to financial wholeness.

“Financial transformation takes time,” Reb says. “Our financial story is a door to change, and Christ is knocking on our financial door and he is asking us to open that door to Him. He is saying, ‘I want to transform your financial story because your financial story is really about your heart.’”

When it comes down to it, our daily struggles can be seen as an opportunity for transformation and growth.

“Jesus is coming in our circumstances with an invitation to wholeness,” Reb says. “He wants us to open the door and allow Him access to our hearts and finances so he can transform them step-by-step.”
