Called to Remember
Dave and Reb reflect on Remembrance Day and the need for “remembrance” in our nation and individual lives. The need for remembrance is also part of finding financial freedom in our lives as we reflect on: how not to make the same mistakes we have made in the past, how God has helped us in the past, and how financial victory and freedom is found in a steady support network, not in isolation.
“This weekend we take time to remember those who have fought for, and defended our freedom both in the past and presently,” Dave says. “But we are also called to remember the faithfulness of God in our financial journeys.”
Over and over God calls His people to remember the past, including His love, His faithfulness, their victories and successes, as well as their failures.
“Remembrance is so important to God that He left us with the greatest remembrance of all at the Communion table of Christ,” Reb says. “Without it, I would not take the time to reflect on all He has done for me. God knows we are forgetful.”
In reflecting on the importance of Remembrance Day in our nation, Dave and Reb challenge listeners to look back and remember and reflect on their actions, their money stories, and God’s love in their lives.
“We are instituting remembrance as a part of our financial journey at More Than Enough because we believe it leads to gratitude and genuine worship, as well as a desire for change,” Dave says.
Their conversation will challenge you to take more time to reflect and remember, so take courage and have a listen to today’s show.
