On today’s show, Dave and Reb take a quick look at some of the changes occurring in the Ottawa area due to the continuing Covid-19 restrictions. From wearing masks to buying houses, they talk about the need for thoughtful and strategic responses in these challenging days. Dave suggests that in light of our relationship with God who loves us, we can make wise daily decisions that allow us “to do the next right thing”.
“Doing the next right thing” means including God in our financial decision making process, through prayer and time spent reading His Word.
“Make the next right decision today in light of your relationship with God, and in light of His Word,” Dave says. “That is why we have Scriptures read at the beginning of these podcasts. We need the truth for discernment in the decisions we are making today, because we simply don’t know what tomorrow holds.”
Jesus told His disciples in Matthew 6 that they should not worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Dave and Reb encourage listeners to take one day at a time, being thoughtful and strategic, as opposed to reactionary in their current financial realities.
“God has this,” Reb says, referring to the challenges we are facing. “And He wants us to trust Him every step of the way – one step at a time.”
