In such uncertain times, Dave and Reb encourage listeners this morning on “Let’s Talk Money” to dig into the promises of God, and become aware of what is happening in their finances.

Looking at 2 Corinthians 4, they remind us not to lose heart because of God’s ministry to us, and also, the hope of our ministry to others. When so much seems impossible, God encourages each of us to look up and remember that though we may be hard pressed and feeling crushed on every side, we are not abandoned.

“The Scripture says that we carry His light and treasure within us as jars of clay,” Dave says. “Remember, God doesn’t leave us to do this on our own.”

“But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.” 2 Corinthians 4:7-10

“It is so important to encourage ourselves, and each other, to remember that no matter what 2020 has brought to us, God still has us, knows us, and invites us to journey with Him, so that we not only get through, but we shine as we do so,” Reb says.

While this may be easier some days, than others, Dave and Reb want to encourage listeners to keep seeking after God, while at the same time, keep tracking and paying attention to finances.

“It is so important to face your finances and know your debt level, your goals, your income, and so much more,” Dave says. “We don’t want to see anyone caught off guard these days because they have their head in the sand and don’t know what is going on in their bank account.”
