Rev. Ray Borg from Financial Discipleship Canada once again joins Dave and Reb on “Let’s Talk Money” to discuss one of the stories Jesus told that centres on the heart issues around money. Found in Luke 16, Jesus tells the story of the poor man Lazarus and the rich man who neglected him, revealing how the love of money can distort our Kingdom perceptions.

“This is a story that gets to the heart issue of what God values,” Reb says. “He cares about the poor, the lonely, the widow, the orphan, and we, as His people can be blinded by the needs around us because of our comforts and wealth.”

“This is not an easy teaching, but we must yield to it, as it is a matter of eternal significance.”

Dave reminds us that this is a story of understanding our own need for God and others, and how the Kingdom priorities don’t always align with the way the world does things.
