In this unprecedented year of change that is 2020, Dave and Reb invite tax and entrepreneurial coaching specialist Bron Vasic to talk about CERB and preparing for the tax season on “Let’s Talk Money”. Together, they look at the importance of living in the moment with God, doing what needs to be done today, and tackling tax preparation one day at a time.

Inspired by the words of Jesus in Matthew 6, and the writing of Henri Nouwen in his book In the Name of Jesus, Dave and Reb encourage listeners to do what is in front of them to do, today. It is in the daily, moment-by-moment living with God that the way is paved for the future.

Henri Nouwen writes: I also came to see that I should not worry about tomorrow, next week, next year, or the next century. The more willing I was to look honestly at what I was thinking and saying and doing now, the more easily I would come into touch with the movement of God’s Spirit in me, leading me to the future. God is a God of the present and reveals to those who are willing to listen carefully to the moment in which they live the steps they are to take toward the future. “Do not worry about tomorrow,” Jesus says. “Tomorrow will take care of itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) (Nouwen, In the Name of Jesus p.13)

In terms of preparing for taxes, this is also wise advise.

“Start collecting documents, start organizing them into categories, so that you are not caught off guard in March,” Dave says. “If you do a bit every day it will take the pressure off of your tomorrow.”
