Rev. Ray Borg of Financial Discipleship Canada joins Dave and Reb on “Let’s Talk Money” today to talk about financial education and the importance of understanding the biblical principles behind financial stewardship. In a time when government spending is on the rise due to Covid-19 benefits, learning and gaining knowledge about God’s principles, along with  emergency cushions and debt repayment, is crucial.

This is not the time to bury our heads in the sand, Dave advises.

“Break the barrier of silence in finances and find out what is happening in your own bank account,” he says.

According to some of the information circulating in the news and social media, one out of three Canadians took advantage of the Canadian Emergency Response Benefit at a cost of over $80 billion. Over three million Canadians deferred credit card payments in 2020, and one out of six deferred mortgage payments.

“In light of these numbers, there is an even greater need for awareness, learning what God says in His Word, and building an emergency cushion,” Reb adds.
