Talking about financial coaching is one of Dave’s favourite things to do. Today on “Let’s Talk Money with Dave and Reb”, the co-hosts welcome Dr. Keith Webb to talk about coaching. Author of The Coaching Model for Christian Leaders, Dr. Webb is one of Dave’s coaching mentors – all because of the book he wrote.
Dr. Webb tells listeners that his inspiration from Scripture has been John 14:26: But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. (NIV)
“As coaches we want to draw out what the Lord is telling people, instead of being advice-givers about what we think,” he says.
With his coaching model, he trains leaders to listen well, and ask questions, so that people discover how to think through their own journeys.
“We are helping people reflect more deeply, finding their own way,” he says.
