Dave and Reb are back from a few weeks off, and they are ready to talk money! On today’s podcast, they discuss the importance of waiting on the Lord, not only in financial matters, but in all areas of life. Taking the example of Abraham and Sarah from the book of Genesis, they look at how waiting on God for financial answers can keep us from complicating our lives.
Dave points out that making decisions in a hurry can lead to regret. Instead of succumbing to the hurry and rush around us, we want to discover the plan and wisdom God shows us as we wait.
“Speed kills, and that is as real in your finances as it is on the road,” Dave says. “We can make it more complicated, but God’s promises haven’t changed.”
Reb reminds us that there are many Scripture verses that encourage waiting, persevering, and being patient. James 5:7 says “Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. The farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient about it, until it gets the early and late rains.”
“This same patience is needed on our financial journeys,” Reb says.
