The cost of living is rising in Canada, and it is concerning Canadians on widespread levels. On today’s “Let’s Talk Money with Dave and Reb”, Rev. Ray Borg discusses the latest statistics around these economic concerns.
“According to a recent survey, nine out of ten Canadians are concerned about cost of living increases, more than job loss,” Rev. Borg says.*
Together, Dave, Reb and Ray talk about our call to live counter-culturally in the midst of these fears and concerns, while at the same time trusting God with “our five loaves and two fishes”of provision. They also remind listeners to release their fears and anxieties by drawing on the love God has for each one of us.
“We don’t have to give in to fear,” Rev. Borg says. “We can draw from God’s love and security.”
Dave and Reb also remind listeners about the truth found in Romans 8:38 and 39: “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (NKJV).
