Are money conversations always a good idea? That is the question Dave and Reb tackle with monthly guest Rev. Ray Borg on today’s episode of “Let’s Talk Money with Dave and Reb”. In all their podcasting years, Reb is sure they have never talked about “unhealthy” money conversations, and in light of growing economic uncertainty, they are hearing more and more money words that are stirring up strife and fear.

“I guess we need an adjective in front of the word “conversations” — like healthy, good, wise, helpful,” Reb says. “We can be honest with one another without stirring up fear, as we encourage one another to trust God in every situation, and in remembering the faithfulness of God in trying times.”

Tune in to hear their words of encouragement based in Scripture, and their heart to see listeners focusing on the hope of Christ.

In reference to a quote shared on the podcast, here is a portion from John Fenn, leader and pastor of Church Without Walls International: The Lord’s provision may not be what we’d always like. For some it may be multiple generations living under the same roof to save money. It may not be seen as the highest and best solution, but it will be the Lord’s provision for many. People will need to start gardens to supplement their groceries – yet that may be the Lord’s provision. Discipline of lifestyle and delaying or cutting back on extras may be required – and yet what we have to do in common sense is the Lord’s provision. We keep a positive attitude, worship, and look for His provision. (This was taken from his newsletter on June 22, 2022.)
