Pulling into the slow lane
After their three part series on fear and finances, Dave and Reb talk together about a subject related to fear: financial fatigue.
In our world of fast-paced living, sometimes we need to get out of the passing lane into the slow lane. We can discover that this kind of living only leaves us tired out and running, as well as more and more tired of taking care of ourselves, our relationships and our finances.
One of the tell-tale signs of financial fatigue is avoidance. We just don’t have the brain capacity or desire to continue on our path of financial vigilance. Dave says this can lead to trouble down the road and we really need the help of others if we find ourselves feeling this way.
“In these cases, maybe it’s a good idea to turn over the finances to your spouse for a few weeks, or seek out a coach, accountability partner, or a good friend who can help you,” he says.
