The Key to Trusting God in Finances with Doug Sprunt

In the second of two shows, Doug Sprunt joins Dave and Reb today to talk honestly about how hard it can be to trust God in our financial journey.

“Jesus spoke so clearly to His disciples about the importance of abiding in Him,” Reb says. “And that abiding, resting, and trusting, is so important on our financial journeys.”

But what is the key to such trusting and abiding? According to former Salem Storehouse owner Doug Sprunt, surrender is the key to trusting God in all areas of our lives.

“Everything is about surrender,” he says. “And it’s about trust, not finances or wealth. If I can just surrender to His love and quit fighting it, I will be much better off.”

And that all comes back to abiding. “If I walk and abide in Him, there is no room to fear – it’s love,” Doug says. “And then in that place I can trust.”

They all realize this is easier to talk about than to live, but they want to encourage listeners to keep pursuing God the Father in a relationship that is deep and intimate and real. Then the head knowledge we have about God’s trustworthiness, love and faithfulness, will move into heart knowledge and we won’t be afraid in our finances.
