It’s all about the books we love!

On this week’s “Let’s Talk Money with Dave and Reb” podcast, Dave and I had the chance to spend 30 minutes talking with Rev. Ray Borg from Financial Discipleship Canada about the financial, spiritual and transformational books that have influenced us in the past few years.

Of course, there wasn’t time to mention them all, but we thought we would offer our listeners and readers a short list that you might want to tackle over the holiday season, and take into the new year. As we soon discovered on the show, many of the books we loved not only centred on money and Biblical principles around finance, but on heart issues and growing our relationship with God, as well.

Here are a few we discussed (and didn’t discuss) to whet your appetite.

The Bible

The book of Proverbs specifically. Take the 31 chapters of Proverbs and read a chapter a day. The verses in Proverbs are among the 2,350 verses about money and possessions we read in God’s word. You can find financial stewardship Bibles by contacting www.notmine.ca or at www.biblescanada.com.

It’s Not About the Money, Unmasking Mammon by Jan Kupecz and Rev. Ray Borg.

Thoughts about this book – “This book is about discipleship. It is about an area of our lives that has significant influence and the potential to take us off course.” Go to www.notmine.ca to get your free download or find a free copy to order.
