After hearing from two of their children last week, Dave and Reb have a conversation on today’s show about how to teach your children and families about financial stewardship.

“What is not ‘taught’ is most certainly ‘caught’,” says Reb. “If you are not teaching your kids directly, children are most certainly learning about money from your behaviour with money.”

Taking wisdom from Deuteronomy 6, Dave and Reb encourage people to teach God’s financial wisdom as they walk along the way, as they sit down with their families, and as they begin their day and end their day.

They reference some good books including a set written by Dave Ramsey called Junior’s Adventures: Storytime Book Set, that creatively deals with the subjects of debt, savings, and stewardship. https://www.daveramsey.com/store/teach-kids

“The best source you have for financial wisdom, however, is God’s Word,” Dave says. “That’s the place we want to start and end, and lead our children to.”
