Today, Rev. Ray Borg from Financial Discipleship Canada helps Dave and Reb dig through the Lord’s prayer and how it relates to finances. Together they discover how God is longing to walk with each of us in our day-to-day journeys, and how part of our prayer journey with God is discovering that he wants to hear our concerns, questions and dreams regarding the resources He has given us.
With some of the stresses we face today, we can forget that God provides for us daily, in the details of our lives. As Matthew 6 says, we are to go into our prayer closet and speak with Him about these details.
“God already knows our requests but He wants to hear from each of us,” Rev. Borg says.
Looking first to heaven, as it outlines in the Lord’s prayer, is a great place to start when talking to God about our finances, or any other circumstance in our lives.
“It is then we are able to align our will with His, putting His Kingdom above our own,” Rev. Borg says.
