On today’s “Let’s Talk Money,” Dave and Reb have their annual end-of-August conversation about preparing for back-to-school spending. In light of the global pandemic, they realize that this isn’t a “typical” financial year for families, but foundational principles for wise saving and spending still remain.

Dave reminds us to “plan what we spend and spend what we plan,” and also to pay attention to the needs of others around us. The simple kindergarten lesson of sharing what we have is just as important for adults as it is for children.

“Share what you have when you can, and ask for help when you need it,” Dave says.
