It’s almost Valentine’s Day and Dave and Reb are talking love and money on today’s “Let’s Talk Money” podcast. To help listeners understand the fragility of these conversations, they have brought in some tea cups to help illustrate the delicate nature of money conversations, especially in marriage. Sometimes we come into money discussions with perceptions, wounds, or misunderstandings that can create conflict we weren’t expecting. Before we know it, the tea cups are shattered.

“I think it is a great idea to come into your financial date with either a tea cup in hand, or a sturdy mug – something that represents how you are feeling that day,” Dave says. “This is a visual reminder about how you are coming into the conversation and it may create an atmosphere of grace and understanding.”

Listen in to today’s show to hear more about tea cups, limiting beliefs, and how you can navigate some of these challenging conversations. One resource that Dave and Reb find helpful in navigating financial discussions in marriage, family, and community, is the book by Shaunti and Jeff Faldhahn called thriving in love & money; 5 Game-Changing Insights about Your Relationship, Your Money, and Yourself.
