Many financial questions are swirling around these days about the future ahead. On today’s  “Let’s Talk Money with Dave and Reb,” the co-hosts uncover some facts, address a few fears, and look at how both are affecting our faith and walk with God. With concerns over gas and food prices rising, many people are wondering what to believe about the future ahead. Dave and Reb encourage people from Jesus’ words found in Matthew 6, and remind listeners that there is a strong history of God taking care of His people.

They invite people to step away from the edge of fear and put their lives in the solid hand of God.

“It is like we are intentionally standing on the edge of a big cliff of fear, and the slightest breeze will knock us over,” Dave says. “But we can intentionally step back, not allowing our emotions to lead us, and turn to God with our anxieties and worries. Making fear-based decisions is never a good idea.”

Reb encourages listeners to identify their financial fears, especially when those fears “speak” doubt: Will God really supply? Did God really say? Is He really good?

“Those questions in our hearts and minds can sound a lot like Satan’s questions to Eve in the garden,” Reb says. “And as those questions led Eve to a life of independence, away from God, so they can lead us.”
